In Mao’s time the delivery of basic needs to the people (food, clothing, housing, health care and education) and raising the quality of life (job security and higher wages; child and old people’s care, health, rest and entertainment, etc.) were ensured, with the disappearance of foreign monopoly corporations and big bourgeois compradors taking out superprofits from the country, landlords collecting land rent for their luxurious living, and with the elimination of corruption and punishment of corrupt officials.
Forbes Magazine is one of the leading magazines of the monopoly capitalist world. It recently released its latest (2021) list of the biggest 2000 corporations. It is instructive to study the list as it gives us a picture of the current state of the global capitalist system, who the biggest capitalists are, and most importantly, the extent to which capital is concentrated in the hands of a few monopolists.
The US is most hostile to revolutionary movements for national and social liberation and tries to misrepresent them as “terrorist.” Thus, it has directed and prodded its puppets in the Philippines to enact an anti-terrorism law. The Communist Party of the Philippines, the New People’s Army, the revolutionary organizations and the people’s democratic government abhor terrorism.
