The operating troops of the 8th Infantry Battalion – Philippine Army suffered more than 10 casualties after they were ambushed by the New People’s Army in Sitio Ulayanon, Brgy. Calabugao, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon on November 5, 2020.

The NPA blasted two command detonated explosive device (CDX) against a platoon of enemy forces. It was reported that at least five were killed-in-action while more that five were wounded.

The action serves as a counter-attack of the NPA against the sustained and focused military operation launched by the AFP since July this year.
